Biden signs Face Mask order

On January 21, President Joe Biden signed a Federal order requiring face masks to be worn on all interstate and international plane flight flights.  The order also requires masks for bus and train travel.

"Masks reduce the likelihood that someone will transmit the disease to someone else by anywhere from 40 to 60%. They reduce the likelihood that you will acquire the disease also by between 40 to 50%," depending on the type of mask, how it's worn, viral loads, and other factors, says Marcus, who served as a transition advisor to Biden's coronavirus team.

On the previous day, Biden signed a mask order for all government employees and visitors to wear masks while of Federal land and in Federal buildings.

The orders are one of ten orders the President signed to combat COVID 19.
